The chair and the heater are one piece. There is no heat pad; it is part of the chair so you do not need to plug in 2 different devices. Just plug in the chair and you're good to go.

3. Can you use the chair without the massage function like when I'm watching TV?

Yes, it's perfect to keep warm. You can turn on the heat therapy, put it in zero gravity position, and watch your favorite show. It's great for that.

4. Can I leave the massage chair plugged in all the time or will it wear the chair down?

Yes, you can leave it plugged in all the time. We have engineered Breakthrough 7 to be just like your computer. You can leave it plugged in all the time, just turn the power off if you're not using it.
